ABC launches new radio station linked to the Early Years Learning Framework

ABC Kids Listen, a new digital radio station aimed at children in the first five years, has launched today.

The station will utilise the ABC’s vast catalogue of characters, songs and stories from their children’s entertainment archive, such as Play School and Bananas in Pyjamas.

The ABC has also committed that the station will be aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, and will focus on supporting early learning.

Stephanie Carrick, Manager of ABC KIDS listen said: ‘Programs on ABC KIDS listen are carefully crafted to activate the brain and body, and align to key principles of the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. Our child focused music programming creates a harmonious soundtrack that is soothing to the ears of parents too.’

ABC KIDS listen is available on DAB+ radios (scan for the station named ABC KIDS listen), to stream at by downloading the app free on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
